Accredited investor

An individual or entity that meets specific income or net worth requirements, allowing them to invest in certain securities not registered with regulatory authorities. These investors are presumed to be sophisticated enough to understand and bear the risks of such investments. In the U.S., an individual must have a net worth over $1 million (excluding primary residence) or an annual income over $200,000 ($300,000 for joint income).
