Administrator ad litem

A person appointed by a court to represent an estate or a minor in a specific legal proceeding. This appointment is temporary and limited to the particular litigation for which it is made. The administrator ad litem acts as a fiduciary, protecting the interests of the party they represent during the lawsuit.
