Attestator

A person who witnesses the signing of a formal document, such as a will or a deed, and then signs it themselves to verify the authenticity of the primary signature. The attestator's signature confirms that they observed the principal party (the testator or grantor) sign the document willingly and with proper capacity. Most jurisdictions require at least two disinterested witnesses for a will to be considered validly executed.
