Bad tendency

A legal test used to determine whether speech can be restricted, focusing on whether the words have a tendency to produce an evil or illegal act. This doctrine allows for the suppression of speech that, even indirectly, might lead to harm. It was largely superseded by the clear and present danger test and later by the Brandenburg incitement test.
