Bailee

The party who receives personal property from another under a contract of bailment, with the understanding that the property will be returned or disposed of according to the bailor's instructions. The bailee has a duty of care to protect the property, the standard of which varies depending on the nature of the bailment. Examples include a dry cleaner holding clothes or a mechanic repairing a car.
(custodian) A person or entity entrusted with the temporary possession and care of another's personal property, without transferring ownership. This individual or organization holds the goods for a specific purpose, such as storage, repair, or transport, and is obligated to return them to the owner or dispose of them as directed. The bailee's responsibilities are defined by the terms of the bailment agreement.
