Bankruptcy power

The authority granted to the United States Congress by the Constitution to establish uniform laws on the subject of bankruptcies throughout the United States. This power allows Congress to enact legislation governing how individuals and businesses can discharge or reorganize their debts. It is enumerated in Article I, Section 8, Clause 4 of the Constitution.
