Commerce power

The authority of the United States Congress to regulate economic activity, derived primarily from the Commerce Clause of the Constitution. This power allows the federal government to enact laws affecting interstate trade, manufacturing, and transportation. Its scope has expanded significantly through judicial interpretation since the New Deal era.
