Interstate commerce

Commercial activity that crosses state lines or affects more than one state within a federal system. This includes the movement of goods, services, and people between states, as well as transactions that have a substantial effect on economic activity in other states. In the United States, the Commerce Clause of Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution grants Congress the power to regulate this activity.
