Beg the question

Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-000692

To assume the truth of the very point that is under discussion or that needs to be proven, thereby creating a circular argument. This logical fallacy occurs when the premise of an argument already presupposes the conclusion. In legal contexts, it indicates a flawed line of reasoning that fails to establish a claim independently.
