Beneficial interest

The right to receive the economic benefits or enjoyment of property, even if legal title is held by another party. This interest is common in trusts, where a trustee holds legal title but the beneficiary holds the beneficial interest. It grants the holder the right to income, use, or proceeds from the asset.
