Clawback

A contractual provision or legal mechanism that allows an employer or company to recover money or benefits already paid to an employee or executive. This recovery often occurs if certain conditions are not met, such as financial misconduct or failure to achieve performance targets. Clawback provisions are common in executive compensation agreements.
