Conservatorship

A legal arrangement established by a court where a conservator is appointed to manage the personal and/or financial affairs of an individual deemed incapable of doing so themselves. This legal status is typically imposed on adults who are elderly, mentally incapacitated, or have severe disabilities. The court oversees the conservator's actions to protect the conservatee's welfare.
