Countable resource

An asset owned by an individual that is considered when determining eligibility for certain public assistance programs, such as Medicaid or Supplemental Security Income (SSI). These resources are subject to specific limits set by law or regulation. Excluded resources, such as a primary residence or one vehicle, are not counted towards these limits.
