Conditional SSI payments

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments made to an individual who is otherwise eligible but has excess resources, provided that the individual agrees to dispose of the excess resources within a specified timeframe. The Social Security Administration sets the time limits for disposing of different types of resources. If the individual fails to dispose of the resources, the conditional payments may be considered overpayments.
