Destination contract

Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-001596

A type of sales contract where the seller is required to deliver goods to a specific location, typically the buyer's place of business or residence. Under this agreement, the risk of loss for the goods remains with the seller until they are properly tendered at the designated destination. This contrasts with a shipment contract, where risk of loss transfers upon delivery to the carrier.
