Erroneous

Relating to or containing a mistake; incorrect or based on a misunderstanding of fact or law. In a legal context, an erroneous judgment or ruling is one that contains a legal error and may be subject to reversal or modification upon appeal. A finding of fact is considered clearly erroneous when, although there is evidence to support it, the reviewing court is left with the definite and firm conviction that a mistake has been committed.
