Freedom of contract

The principle that individuals and entities have the liberty to enter into agreements with terms of their own choosing, without undue government interference. This concept allows parties to negotiate and agree upon the rights and obligations that will govern their relationship. However, this freedom is not absolute and is subject to limitations such as public policy, illegality, and unconscionability.
