Frivolous

Describing a legal claim, defense, or appeal that lacks any arguable basis in law or fact, or is brought for an improper purpose, such as harassment or delay. Such actions are considered to be without merit and can result in sanctions, including fines or attorney's fees, against the party or attorney who filed them. Courts may dismiss frivolous lawsuits summarily.
