General power of attorney

A legal document that grants an agent broad authority to act on behalf of the principal in all financial and legal matters. This instrument allows the designated agent to make decisions regarding property, finances, and other affairs as if they were the principal. The authority granted under a general power of attorney remains in effect unless revoked or the principal becomes incapacitated, unless it is a durable power of attorney.
