Guardian of the person

An individual appointed by a court to make decisions concerning the personal care, welfare, and upbringing of a ward, who is typically a minor or an incapacitated adult. This guardian is responsible for matters such as residence, education, and medical treatment. Their authority does not extend to managing the ward's financial assets.
