House counsel

An attorney employed directly by a corporation or other organization to provide legal advice and representation exclusively to that entity. Unlike external law firms, house counsel are salaried employees and are part of the company's internal structure. Their responsibilities include contract drafting, litigation management, regulatory compliance, and advising on business decisions.
