Involuntary

Describing an action or state that occurs without the individual's conscious will, choice, or control. In a legal context, this can refer to acts performed under duress, by accident, or due to a physical or mental condition that precludes voluntary action. The involuntary nature of an act can negate criminal intent or affect civil liability.
