Involuntary intoxication

A state of being intoxicated that occurs without the individual's knowledge or against their will, such as being drugged unknowingly or having an adverse reaction to prescribed medication. In criminal law, involuntary intoxication can serve as a defense, potentially negating the specific intent required for certain crimes. This defense is distinct from voluntary intoxication, which is generally not a complete defense.
