Jobber

A wholesaler or middleman who buys goods in bulk from manufacturers and sells them to retailers or other businesses, often without maintaining a large inventory. In securities, a jobber acts as a market maker, buying and selling shares on their own account to facilitate trading. This role is distinct from a broker, who executes trades on behalf of clients.
