Military law

A specialized body of law that governs the conduct of members of the armed forces and the administration of military justice. It is distinct from civilian law and is primarily codified in the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) in the United States. Military law addresses offenses unique to military service, such as desertion and insubordination, and provides for courts-martial to adjudicate these matters.
