Ombuds

An official, appointed by a government, organization, or institution, tasked with investigating and resolving complaints from individuals against that entity. The ombuds, or ombudsman, acts as an impartial intermediary, examining facts and seeking fair solutions to grievances concerning administrative actions or misconduct. This role is distinct from a formal judicial process, as an ombuds typically makes non-binding recommendations rather than issuing legal judgments.
