Redlining

The discriminatory practice of denying or limiting services, such as financial loans, insurance, or housing, to residents of specific geographic areas, often based on race or ethnicity. This practice creates economic disadvantages and perpetuates segregation by effectively drawing a 'red line' around certain neighborhoods. The Fair Housing Act of 1968 prohibits redlining.
