Removal warrant

A warrant authorizing officers to take a person into custody so that the person can be moved or removed under an existing order. In federal criminal procedure, a warrant of removal directs that a defendant arrested in one judicial district be transferred to the district where the charges are pending. In immigration enforcement, a warrant of removal is issued by an authorized Department of Homeland Security officer, not an immigration judge, after a final order of removal has been entered.
