Cancellation of removal

A form of relief available in United States immigration law that allows certain non-citizens facing deportation to remain in the country. To qualify, an individual must meet specific criteria, such as continuous physical presence in the U.S. for a set period, good moral character, and demonstrating that removal would cause exceptional and extremely unusual hardship to a qualifying relative. This relief is granted at the discretion of an immigration judge.
