Storage lien

A legal claim against personal property held by a storage facility or warehouse operator for unpaid storage fees. This lien grants the operator the right to retain possession of the goods until the debt is satisfied. If the debt remains unpaid, the operator can sell the property to recover the outstanding charges, subject to notice requirements outlined in state statutes.
