Subject to partial divestment

A condition requiring a company or individual to sell or otherwise dispose of a portion of its assets, business units, or holdings. This remedy is often imposed by a court or regulatory agency, such as in an antitrust case to approve a merger by mitigating its anticompetitive effects. The order specifies which assets must be sold, leaving the owner with the remaining parts of the business.
