Vagrant
Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-005133
A person who has no fixed home, regular employment, or visible means of support, and who wanders from place to place. Historically, laws against vagrancy criminalized this status, but many such statutes have been deemed unconstitutional. Modern legal approaches tend to address specific behaviors rather than the status of being homeless.
