A secondary commercial activity or enterprise undertaken by an individual in addition to their primary employment. Such ventures are pursued for supplemental income and are distinct from a person's main job. Employment contracts or company policies frequently place restrictions on these activities, particularly if they create a conflict of interest or compete with the primary employer's operations.
