Course of employment

The period during which an employee is performing duties for their employer or engaging in activities incidental to their employment. This concept is used to determine an employer's liability for an employee's actions or injuries sustained by an employee. It is a key factor in workers' compensation claims and in establishing vicarious liability for torts committed by employees.
