Vehicular homicide

The unlawful killing of another person caused by driving a motor vehicle recklessly, negligently, or while intoxicated, depending on the state statute. Some states use the name vehicular homicide and others vehicular manslaughter for the same kind of offense, and states that keep both usually assign the more serious grade to conduct showing greater recklessness or intoxication. Penalties range from misdemeanors to serious felonies.
