Wildcat strike

A work stoppage or strike undertaken by unionized employees without the authorization, consent, or approval of their union leadership. This action is a breach of a collective bargaining agreement that includes a no-strike clause, which prohibits strikes during the term of the contract. Because they are not officially sanctioned, these strikes are not protected under federal labor laws like the National Labor Relations Act.
