Absolute drought

A period of at least 15 consecutive days during which the daily rainfall at a specific location is less than 0.2 millimeters. This meteorological criterion is used to define severe dry spells, particularly in temperate climates. It provides a quantitative measure for assessing drought conditions based solely on precipitation deficits.
