Aerodynamic balance
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010348
An instrument for measuring the aerodynamic forces and moments acting on a test object within a wind tunnel. It quantifies components like lift, drag, and side force, along with pitching, rolling, and yawing moments, to assess an object's behavior in airflow. Measurements are converted into non-dimensional coefficients, such as the lift coefficient (CL) and drag coefficient (CD), by normalizing them with dynamic pressure and a reference area.
