Drag law
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005127
A mathematical relationship that describes the drag force exerted by a fluid on a moving object. It typically relates the drag force to the fluid density, the object's cross-sectional area, its velocity, and a dimensionless drag coefficient. These laws are applied in atmospheric modeling to represent the resistance experienced by particles or larger bodies.
