Ambient pressure

The atmospheric pressure of the surrounding environment at a given location and time. It is the pressure exerted by the weight of the air column above a point. This pressure varies with altitude, temperature, and weather systems, and is typically measured in hectopascals (hPa) or millibars (mb).
