Angular velocity of the earth

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003515

The rate at which the Earth rotates on its axis, which is approximately 7.292 x 10⁻⁵ radians per second. This rotation is a fundamental factor influencing atmospheric and oceanic circulation patterns through the Coriolis effect. It is a constant value, defining the planet's sidereal rotation period.
