Angular wavenumber
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003516
A measure of the spatial frequency of a wave, defined as 2π divided by the wavelength. It represents the number of radians of phase per unit length. In atmospheric and oceanic wave dynamics, angular wavenumber is used to characterize the spatial scale of disturbances and is a key parameter in dispersion relations.
