Antihail rocket
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003566
A rocket designed to disperse cloud-seeding agents, such as silver iodide, into hail-producing thunderstorms with the aim of mitigating hail formation. The theory is that introducing numerous ice nuclei will create more, smaller ice particles that melt before reaching the ground. The effectiveness of antihail rockets remains a subject of scientific debate and ongoing research.
