Rocket lightning

A rare form of lightning discharge that appears to ascend from the ground or a cloud base into the sky, resembling a rocket launch. This phenomenon is typically a slow, luminous discharge that can precede or follow a more conventional lightning strike. It is distinct from rocket-triggered lightning, which is artificially initiated.
