Avogadro's number
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003750
The number of constituent particles, such as atoms or molecules, that are contained in one mole of a substance. This constant is approximately 6.022 x 10^23 particles per mole. It is a fundamental constant in chemistry and physics, used to relate macroscopic quantities of matter to the number of individual particles, which is relevant for atmospheric composition studies.
