Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003969
To undergo a phase transition from liquid to gas, characterized by the formation of bubbles within the liquid body. This process occurs when the vapor pressure of the liquid equals the external pressure exerted on it. For water at standard atmospheric pressure, this transition occurs at 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit).
