Boreal zone

The biome situated in high northern latitudes, characterized by coniferous forests dominated by pines, spruces, and larches. This zone experiences long, cold winters and short, cool to mild summers, with moderate precipitation. It stretches across North America and Eurasia in a continuous belt south of the Arctic tundra and north of the temperate broadleaf forests.
