Boreal woodland

A type of forest ecosystem found in the northern latitudes, primarily composed of coniferous trees such as spruce, fir, and pine. These woodlands are adapted to cold climates, short growing seasons, and often nutrient-poor soils. They represent the largest terrestrial biome on Earth, covering vast areas of Canada, Russia, and Scandinavia.
