Arctic Zone

A geographical region surrounding the North Pole, characterized by extremely cold temperatures, permafrost, and a unique ecosystem adapted to harsh conditions. In climatology, it is often defined by the 10°C (50°F) July isotherm or the tree line. This zone experiences long, dark winters and short, cool summers.
