Brown snow

Snowfall that appears discolored due to the incorporation of dust, soot, or other particulate matter from the atmosphere. This phenomenon often occurs when snow falls through air masses carrying airborne pollutants or desert dust plumes. The color can vary from light brown to dark reddish-brown depending on the composition and concentration of the suspended particles.
